20 idioms that you can use while writing or speaking !!

 Today I have a collection  of  20 quite common idioms with their meanings, that you can use while while writing and speaking.


1.  To add injury to insult.
meaning: To make a bad situation worse.

2. As cheap as chips.
meaning: Very cheap. 

3. Barking up the wrong tree.
meaning: To be wrong about the way to do or achieve something.

4. Bite of more than you can chew.
meaning: Try to do something that is too difficult or too much for you

5. Bite a bullet.
meaning: To force yourself to do something unpleasant or to be brave in a difficult situation.

6. To call it a day
meaning: To stop doing what you are doing because you think you have done enough or don't want to do more.

meaning: To give someone additional freedom

meaning: to depend for your success on one plan or one person.

meaning: organise yourself in a way that you can do things in a more effective way.

meaning: to avoid making a decision or statement
